CFSY board and staff transitions

The past few weeks have brought a number of personnel and board changes to the CFSY.

First, we would like to thank Christopher Hill, our outgoing board chairman, for his dedicated service. We look forward to continued work alongside Chris, as he will remain on the board. We also congratulate board member David Eppler for being chosen as the new board chairman.

We wish well the staff members who have recently left to take the next exciting steps in their careers. Daniel Gutman, a former state strategist, will be returning to his home state of Nebraska for law school. Caryn Thor, our former program assistant, has moved to Chicago. And Emily Dillon, our former outreach coordinator who was completing a service year through the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, will begin work next month at the Catholic Mobilizing Network.

Next week, Jeremy Kittredge, our summer intern, will return to Curry College in Milton, Mass., for his senior year. We are grateful for his contribution to the CFSY during his time with us.

Later this month, Matthew Gritzmacher will join us as our new outreach coordinator. A native of Buffalo, N.Y., Matt is a 2012 graduate of Boston College. He recently completed a year of service as a Jesuit volunteer at Chrysalis, a California nonprofit working to help homeless and low-income people obtain self-sufficiency.
