In 2023, we surpassed an incredible milestone: 1,000 people sentenced to life without parole as children are now free!
On October 11th, we plan to gather our partners in the legal community here in DC, who have supported our efforts and worked alongside family members and advocates to secure the freedom of these individuals. We look forward to bringing together our pro bono and law firm partners, members of the Incarcerated Children’s Advocacy Network, and other close partners in DC to celebrate this milestone, reflect on over a decade of partnership, and recommit to the work that lies ahead.
As we celebrate the freedom of these 1,000 individuals, we will remember, uplift, and continue to fight for those who have yet to be given a chance for redemption. Together, we must work towards the day when all life-sentenced children have the opportunity for their own joyous homecoming. Your support bolsters our work in states that still impose this barbaric practice and helps ensure strong legal representation for those whose sentences become eligible for review.
